The outdoors has always been home to Jody. From an early age, he developed a love for hunting, hiking, fishing, and exploring the beauty of God’s creation. Having owned and worked farmland, he understands firsthand the rewards of rural living, from managing property and caring for livestock to gathering around a fire with family and friends. To Jody, land is far more than acreage or a legal description on a county plat; it’s where memories are made, investments grow, and dreams take shape.
Jody’s life and career has primarily been defined by the characteristic of service. He spent nearly 25 years as a pastor before representing Georgia’s 10th District in the United States House of Representatives for eight years. During his time in Congress, he served on the Natural Resources Committee, where he developed an even deeper appreciation for the stewardship and responsible use of our nation’s land and natural resources.
Those experiences reinforced the values that continue to guide his work today: integrity, hard work, honest communication, and putting people first. Jody believes buying or selling land is more than a real estate transaction; it’s about helping people pursue their dreams, make wise investments, and create places where future generations can build lasting memories.

He and his wife, Dee Dee, are blessed with two daughters and four grandchildren. They enjoy life in Georgia’s Lake Country, where they spend as much time as possible outdoors with family and friends.
